Felix Werner’s interest and expertise in the film industry goes back to early childhood. The son of actor and director Oskar Werner and the grandson of actress Joan Bennett, Werner grew up surrounded by legendary Hollywood artists.   Werner began his career in the Education and Film Departments of the L.A. County Museum of Art.  He then worked on a variety of film sets gaining considerable production experience.

Today, Werner works as an independent film financier, executive producer and now distributor with the acquisition of First Independent Pictures. He has designed Modern Media Company to have the ability to develop and produce films with a wide variety of budgets, and to see them through the distribution process.

Kathrin Werner began her career working as a financial consultant in Europe. She then moved to Los Angeles, studied film at UCLA and worked extensively in production before becoming Vice President of International Sales for Motion Picture Corporation of America.

She later worked as a sales agent for Capitol Films and assisted European entertainment companies as a segment producer and consultant. Currently, Werner divides her time between running a successful international real estate business and consulting on Modern Media Company financing and development deals.

Paola Freccero is a film consultant who, most recently, was the co-founder of CrowdStarter, a marketing and distribution services agency for independent films.

Prior to launching CrowdStarter, Freccero was B-Side Entertainment’s President of Distribution. Freccero joined B-Side from Tribeca Enterprises where she was Co-Executive Director of the Tribeca Film Festival and SVP. Freccero previously was Sundance Channel’s Senior Vice President, Film Programming and its Vice President of International. She has also served as Artistic Director of the Palm Springs International Film Festival and spent 5 years working as an independent film publicist.
